Ferraro Choi's Recieves 2009 Historic Hawaii Foundation Preservation Award for YWCA of Oah'u Project

Ferraro Choi and its design team recently received the 2009 Preservation Award from the Historic Hawai'i Foundation for the YWCA of O'ahu Phase I interior renovation, refurbishment and preservation of the dining room, kitchen and Elizabeth Fuller Hall at Laniakea, Capital District, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Ferraro Choi's "Melting" submission wins the People's Choice Award at CANSTRUCTION® HAWAII 2008

A team from Ferraro Choi participated and had a great time at the 2008 Third Annual Canstruction® Competition at the Pearlridge Shopping Center, Aiea, Hawaii. Canstruction® is a design/build competition held in North America and serves as an international community service project to fight hunger.

Waipahu Intermediate School Cafeteria Receives 2008 NAOIP Hawaii Green Building Award

Designed with a unique cavity roof to siphon out warm air for energy efficiency and comfort, the Waipahu Intermediate School (WIS) Cafeteria received the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAOIP) Hawaii 2008 Kukulu Hale Green Building Award.

Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station formerly dedicated on January 12, 2008

A culmination of seven years of design and eight years of construction, the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station was formerly dedicated on January 12, 2008 and marked the 50th anniversary of the International Geophysical Year, when the first scientists took residence at the very first South Pole station, and the beginning of International Polar Year 2007-2008, a large scientific program focused on the Arctic and the Antarctic from March 2007 to March 2009.

Popular Science Magazine recently named the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station as one of Best of What's New 2007 for Engineering

The Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station designed by Ferraro Choi was named as one of Popular Science Magazine's Best of What's New for 2007 in Engineering. The South Pole project was named alongside seven other engineering marvels including the Golden Gate Bridge Seismic Retrofit, Britain's multiplex Wembley Stadium, Qatar's 984-foot-tall Aspire Tower, and Northern Ireland's SeaGen marine current tidal turbine.

The Hawaii Gateway Energy Center is listed as one of the Top Ten Green Projects for 2007 by AIA/COTE

Ferraro Choi received national recognition by having one of its projects, the Hawaii Gateway Energy Center, listed as one of the nation's Top Ten Green Projects for 2007 by AIA/COTE, the American Institute of Architects Committee On The Environment.

Shriners Hospital for Children, Honolulu, Hawaii

Ferraro Choi teamed with the prime architectural firm of SRG Partnership Inc. to design the replacement hospital for Shriners Hospital for Children in Honolulu, Hawaii.

NOAA – Pacific Region Center Laboratory and Office Complex

Ferraro Choi has teamed with prime architect HOK of San Francisco to design the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Pacific Region Center Laboratory and Office Complex on historic Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
